Dates for your Diary

Junior Church

is looking for a couple of new leaders. If you are interested please speak to Duncan or Gillian Redman.

Total raised in 2010 - £329. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to make this a successful fund raiser.

Pastoral Cover

The Rev. Duncan Eddie will be on holiday from 12th July to 2nd August during which time pastoral cover will be provided by the Rev. Bob Brown

Jubilee Service

Jubilee will resume again on Sunday 22nd August.

Summer Worship

During the school holidays, from Sunday 4th July to Sunday 15th August inclusive, our Sunday morning worship will start at 10.00am.

Church Office Hours

During the school holiday the church office will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.00am 'till 1.00pm.

Messy Church

will be on Wednesday 11th August from 5pm to 8pm. Please take a flyer to give to a friend or neighbour who may be interested. Anyone who can help please speak to Duncan or Gill.

Gift Day

The total donated for Gift Day so far is £6541 (before tax is added). Many thanks to everyone for their very generous donations.

Sale of Home Made Jam

In aid of church funds: strawberry, rhubarb and ginger, rhubarb and cloves now available from Joyce Cormack.

Church Flowers

The new flower calendar is now available at the entrance to the Sanctuary. Anyone who would like to donate, arrange or deliver flowers, please add your name. Thank you.

Fund Raising

Joanna Redman is volunteering in a rehabilitation centre for disabled children in Ecuador at the end of the summer and as a way to raise money is offering services to you. For example, babysitting, cleaning, ironing and pretty much anything else helpful. Please contact Jill Redman for further information.

Aberdeen International Youth Festival Events at Holburn West Church (Sanctuary)

  • Monday 2nd August: "Up Close and Musical". An afternoon performance by some of Scotland's finest choral performers. National Youth Choir of Scotland, Edinburgh. 3pm. Tickets £5.00 (+10% booking fee)
  • Thursday 5th August: Modern Slavic - Celtic renditions of Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian and Rock Music. 3pm. Tickets £5.00 (+10% booking fee)
  • Friday 6th August: Aberdeen City Music School graduate, Jack Fawcett has teamed up with fellow Royal College of Music student, Joe Richards to form the imaginatively titled percussion duo "Jack and the Giant Peach". This fun concert will feature a wide range of percussion pieces including jazz and latin musical influences. 3pm. Tickets £5.00 (+10% booking fee)
